About this listen

When her sister is shot by a crazed gunman at a mall, Violet drops everything to return to Lost Hills, Texas. She dreads small-town life and can’t wait to get back to her company in San Francisco. But when she runs into Aaron, her first and only love, she tries in vain to resist the sexy cowboy’s bedroom eyes and rock hard body. One night of unbridled passion leads to disastrous consequences, and she’s forced to make an impossible choice.

Cowboy bear-shifter Aaron Grant doesn’t care that Violet has a life in San Francisco. He wants her back. After spending a decade pretending to be content with their long-distance friendship, he’s ready to claim his fated mate. But before he can confess his love, he must find a way to tell her the truth about his big, furry secret and risk losing her forever.

This is the second book in the paranormal bear romance series - Lone Star Cowbears. This is a stand-alone audiobook with no cliffhangers. Love scenes are fully realized and at times include explicit language.

Violet and Aaron

Renegade, book 2 of the Lone Star Cowbear series, was so good. After being away for many years, Violet returns to Lost Hills, Texas after her sister is injured by a gunman at the mall and runs into Aaron, her first and only love. Violet is Aaron's fated mate and he wants her back.

Beth Roeg did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

so disappointed

She is a CEO of a big company strong woman with great career but her small minded family and ex boyfriend want her give up her job she worked hard for for a cowboy common. why does the woman have to give everything up for him? when is he giving up his life for her?
spoiler she gives everything up for him and her family when she is on the top of her career. I was so pissed I gave the story one star.
when a writers going to stand up for the women? you are making it harder for women to keep career and get good jobs because they are excited to quit when they start a family. so wrong and makes me so angry every time I see or hear it.
you made a strong woman and then you just killed it. she wasn't soft or cute enough like that. Really?
