About this listen
In my twenties, I flew to Alaska determined to change the world. I returned home devastated, filled with fear and the kind of heartache it takes years to overcome.
Now, sixteen years later, as I hurl through the sky on the wings of heartbreak and despair, I’m desperately trying to hold myself together. Not just because of why I’m flying back, but because I know he’ll be waiting.
John Jennings — the man who made me realize I could fly without my feet ever leaving the ground. The promise I returned to keep will change our lives irrevocably.
We’ve been separated for years by more than air; there’s a secret that stands between us.
Only the time has come to reveal it.

Story
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Story
Who is Audrey Hoedemaker? It's a question her sister Maureen has heard more times than she can count, and she doesn't know what the short answer would be. Little sister, troubled teen, backpacker, musical theatre coach, con artist, childcare worker. Murderer. A tragic, traumatic childhood casts a long shadow on the Hoedemaker sisters. Maureen has worked hard to move beyond the violence of the past and build a good, honest life for herself. Audrey, however, just can't seem to do the same, careening from one state of chaos to another.

Story
Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Story
It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Except, perhaps, for Winston Smith. Whilst working at the Ministry of Truth, rewriting history, he secretly dreams of freedom. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

When Heather McKinley dreamed of becoming a doctor, she imagined curing sick kids and sporting pink stethoscopes. She never anticipated the sleepless nights, grueling exams, and endless labs. And she certainly never knew that her medical school earned the nickname Dead Med thanks to the tragic history of students overdosing on illegal drugs. But Heather would never consider doing anything like that. That is, until her longtime boyfriend dumps her, she finds herself failing anatomy, and her world starts to crumble.

A beautiful story filled with heartbreak, love and second chances. Tracey writes amazing characters, facing real life chanllenges that take place in a beautiful setting.
Kara has faced many challenges in her young life but she is strong, resilient and a great mom.

Kara and Jennings are perfect for one another, have amazing banter, incredible chemistry and develop the most beautiful love story.
You will laugh, maybe cry and you will love this amazing story that’s filled with hope, new beginnings and so much love.

Return by Air (Glacier Adventure #2) is a second chance romance. John and Kara’s story pulled me in from the beginning. An emotionally packed love story about heartache and healing. I loved the chemistry between them and the glimpses of their past. Such a beautifully written story.
Samantha Brentmoor and Lance Greenfield did an impeccable job narrating this story and bringing these characters to life.

All I can say is wow!
Tracey Jerald did it again with her breathtaking stories.
Kara and John shared a summer together as a couple but as the summer ends, so do they, but they didn’t realize they would always have a bond holding them together.
Years later, Kara comes back home but she isn’t alone and John finds out a secret that has been hidden from him for years, his son.
I have the audible version of this and it was incredible to listen to! Samantha Brentmoor is a semi new narrator to me but she did perfectly with Kara’s character. Lance Greenfield, this is my first time hearing him and I think it was incredible. These two did a great job as Kara and John!

Tracey Jerald’s Return by Air is available as an audiobook narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Lance Greenfield, who bring "Return By Air" to life with their ability to read in a way that makes the story feel as if you're listening to a show on the radio like in the early days of voice entertainment from years long past. Return by Air (Glacier Adventure Series Book 1)" by Tracey Jerald centers around up-and-coming pilot John Jennings and scientist Kara Malone, who met sixteen years earlier while she was studying a glacier, resulting in a summer romance in Alaska. Kara left Alaska with a long-term reminder of Jennings in the form of their son, Kevin, of whom Jennings is unaware, despite Kara's attempts to inform him. Their reunion occurs in Alaska following the tragic loss of Kara’s brother, Dean, and his husband, Jed, who were killed in a car accident. Jed had been part of Jennings’ friend group and left stipulations in his will for Kara, his sister-in-law, hoping that Jennings would discover that Kevin was his son. The story delves into the rediscovery of love, the challenges of parenthood, and the longing for a forever together. Tracey Jerald portrays the characters' grief and tumultuous emotions with real rawness and grace. In "Return by Air," Kara and Jennings must figure out how to reconcile their separation by “air and time” to find their Happily ever after.

Great story!
In Return by Air, Kara had a summer fling with Jennings, but he walked away, afraid of commitment and unaware that she was pregnant. When Kara had her son, Kevin, she tried many times to get in touch with him, but to no avail. Kara's brother, Dean, and his husband, Jed, have become the role models, father figures for Kevin, but their fatal car accident brings Kara and Kevin back to Alaska for the funeral. Kara understands that everything is going to come out in the open because Jed's best friend is none other than Jennings. It's time for Kevin to meet his father. This story is very-well written and the setting is vivid and transfixing. As in each of Tracey Jerald's books, there is never a dull moment, and the mystery, the love, the angst and the passion are all layered perfectly to make this a meaningful story.
Samantha Brentmoor and Lance Greenfield do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. They do more than give their characters their voices, they fall into the roles and become the character.
