About this listen

A road trip with his most important client's sexy daughter. What could go wrong?

When hot redheaded Lily walks into Nico Marino's classic car restoration shop, he figures she's the frisky blind date his friend arranged. The sizzling seduction comes to a screeching halt when he learns she's the daughter of his wealthiest client. This is one hookup he has to say no to, only Lily has other ideas.

Lily Spencer knows men only want her for her money or her family, but she has a plan to end her two-year dry spell with the sexy Nico - getting his hands on a 1969 Mustang she's inherited. And hopefully on her too. All it takes is a two-week, no-strings road trip. Lily won't take no for an answer.

Nico & Lily

What did you like best about this story?

I love Nico's self discovery as he spends time with Lily. He was hurt and feels he can never let anyone close again. Nico does not want to give anyone that much power over his heart. lily has her own growing up to do and find if she has the strength to stand up for herself.

Another winner by Ms Gilmore

What made the experience of listening to Rev Me Up the most enjoyable?

The stories of the characters of Clover Park have all been entertaining, thoughtful, and make you feel like you lived in this town.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Both Lily and Nico were great characters. Throughout the story they grew and you felt you "knew" them.

What about Charles Lawrence’s performance did you like?

Mr Lawrence did a wonderful job narrating the story and you never doubted who was speaking .

Who was the most memorable character of Rev Me Up and why?

Again, both Nico and Lily . They were at times exasperating, at others sweet, they were human with all their faults and doubts.

Any additional comments?

I love the Marino/Reynolds family and can't wait to read/listen to more of their stories.

Great Series!

This is a great book; this is the seventh book in the Clover Park series written by Kylie Gilmore and narrated by Charles Lawrence. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

Opposites Attract

Any additional comments?

I loved Nico and Lily's story! They seemed to be complete opposites at first, but they complemented each other. I loved how the the tough Nico fell. I loved how Lily faced her fears head on. I enjoyed catching up with the rest of the Marino clan too! I wish Clover Park was a real place so I could go visit!

Getting the wrong girl can sometimes be good.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I like the way the story starts out. Nico is waiting for a girl that his brother hooks him up with. When she gets there, he starts wooing her. Then he finds out that she's the wrong girl when the one that he was supposed to hook up with shows up. This earns him a slap, by both girls.

There is classic comedy in this story along the way to falling in love. The situations that happen along the way that get awkward and the bickering that ensues from expectations that aren't met by either person.

This story never leaves you bored. From beginning to end you want to find out what happens and who it happens to.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Rev Me Up?

I love the moment that Nico and Lily find out that they have matching tattoos on their backs. That whole chapter is so funny. I was really laughing hard at how they got to that point. Mostly because they didn't remember doing the things that were told to them later on.

Which character – as performed by Charles Lawrence – was your favorite?

I liked Lily's character alot. She was truly a genuine person, what you see is what you get. She didn't let money rule her or go to her head. She just wanted someone to genuinely tell her that they loved her for who she was, and not for what they wanted her to be or for her money.

If you could rename Rev Me Up, what would you call it?

I honestly can't think of anything to rename it. Nor would I want to rename this book. The title fits the theme of Nico through out the book perfectly.

Any additional comments?

If you hate being interrupted and get grumpy while reading should this happen....remember, they don't know what is going on through your earbuds so don't be too snappish at them when they do. Just hit pause. It will still be there when you get back, that's what rewind is for.

Charles Lawrence does an outstanding performance, and Kylie Gilmore went all out on this book. It really is a great read. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Hilarious!

This is book 7 in the Clover Park Series and one of my favorites. Based on previous books and the beginning of this book I didn’t think I would like Nico as he came across as being arrogant and self-centered. I don’t mind admitting how wrong I was! Nico was a sweetheart and oh so patient with Lily, even if it was for ulterior reasons at first. He was so determined not to fall in love and was totally sure he never wanted to get married, again, and then Lily came into his life! I felt sorry for Lily as her upbringing had her feeling unloved and unwanted, it’s no wonder she was so self conscious and insecure. I loved her quirkiness and her antics and excuses had me laughing out loud. All those crazy “sightseeing” stops she just had to make made the book that much more comical and enjoyable. This was really an enjoyable book and Charles Lawrence did not fail to make it that much more so!

Highly recommend!

What made the experience of listening to Rev Me Up the most enjoyable?

I love everything about author Kylie Gilmores' characters and stories and I find the narration by Charles Lawrence to be very sexy. He's my absolute favorite voice to listen to!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved Nico Marino's appreciation of, and dedication to, old cars. He's a very successful mechanic and he loves the art of car restoration. He might not make tons of money he's happy to spend his life doing work that he enjoys.

Which scene was your favorite?

This author does a great job when she engages my emotions by bringing attention to the vulnerabilities of her heroes and heroines. I enjoyed all of the fascinating touristy places Lily and Nico stopped at while on their cross country road trip.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Charles Lawrence's narration is always fabulous in every way. Most of the time I have to remind myself that he's portraying both the male and female characters because he switches so effortlessly between Nico and Lily. His voice is very sexy too!

Any additional comments?

I really enjoy spending time in Clover Park with the macho Marino brothers and their remarkably endearing father and step mother. This entire series is absolutely addictive in every way and I really enjoyed the talented narration of Charles Lawrence. I can't wait to hear more books in this entertaining series.
