About this listen

From New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg comes the raw, sexy, and jaw-dropping finale to the Wicked Ways series.

I play to win, and I won’t let anything - or anyone - get in the way of what I want.

The first time I met Vaughn Sanders, I knew I wanted her. Confident, intelligent, and downright sexy. I thought I knew how to play her game. I was ready and willing for the challenge. Little did I know she was full of secrets and surprises.

But so am I.

Charming a woman into my bed has never been my problem. It’s the relationship part that is. They want it. I don’t. But can you blame me? Broken marriages are how I make a living. Hell, no self-respecting man would let a woman own his thoughts, invade his dreams, and steal his heart. So how in the world has Vaughn done that to me?

I’ve fallen in love with her. There. I said it. But that acknowledgment comes with a heavy price.

Everything and everyone seem to be working against us, leaving us both to question whether what we have is worth the cost.

I’ll be damned if I go down without a fight.

Keeps u guessing

Picks up right at the cliffhanger from book one & takes off like a freight train-nonstop. In this Sexy conclusion everything is not always as it seems. Lots of highs and lows- worth the time and credit to find out the truth behind every twist & turn in this intriguing story. Of course narration was on point with all the shivers & swoons I needed to get me to this couple’s hard won HEA.

Exhausting

Don’t get me wrong it was a good book. Buuuttt after about the tenth threat I started to feel exhausted. At one point I think I said out loud “ My God enough already”. After all that the book rushed to the end. Not really satisfying but ok.
I’ll read more from this author but first I need a nap. 😉

2nd half was great!

I think the narrators did a great job. The female did a good male voice.
I really enjoyed book one of the duet. This one slightly missed the mark for me. The story took awhile to take off. The female was very wish washey in the first half if not a little more. The same conversations, the same thoughts seemed almost redundant. I found myself wanting to stop listening and ended up hitting the 30 sec fast forward several times. A few chapters could’ve have been edited out of the beginning and you would have had a excellent book. Vaughn was very irritating at times. She was wanting to get custody of sweet Lucy but couldn’t figure her own life very well. She is childish in so many ways.
When things did finally start going in a forward motion it was really good. Found myself enjoying the second half. I like Ryker he tried to be the protector and do a good job when Vaughn would let him.

Liked the First Story...LOVED This One

I liked the first book in this duet a lot. But I'll admit I was pretty ticked when it left me on a monster cliffhanger. Really hate those. If I recall, I compared it to getting your partner hot and bothered, then not following through with the anticipated satisfaction.

So... sometimes that anticipation is sweet IF there is, indeed the follow-through of satisfaction. That's exactly what this novel is. While I liked the first book, this one was even better. I totally loved it. Not just because I finally got that much anticipated (and apparently needed) satisfaction, although that certainly helped. But because this was the sweeter side to the savory story found in book one. This is actually quite a tale and does not lack for action, suspense, raw emotion, or romance. Good heavens, there's a lot packed into this story. If you think you're just getting a simple boy-meets-girl tale, think again. I was also elated to see the growth of these well-defined characters as the story progressed. They both had their quirks and areas of previous damage, but they recognized and worked on their issues, acknowledging they were "works in progress."

Having now completed this duet, I'm awed by the virtual masterpiece of it. It's very well done, and WILL leave the reader well satisfied. While it would be possible to read this as a stand-alone book, it is not advised. The reader will enjoy it much more if book one, "Resist" has first been read.

long story great voice overs

voice overs where great the story was 2 books felt overlong. I loved Lucy she was so cute. I was hoping that Sam's key was more than a symbol like maybe it went to a secret locker. I felt like the ending with Joey was a little weird I was hoping for a baby in one of the 2 epilogue.

Great Book!

This was the 2nd book in a series with the 1st book being a cliffhanger. I was a little worried that I'd have to get the 3rd book and trust me, I would willingly do so. K. Bromberg knows how to write suspense, steamy scenes, and gut-twisting plot twists. This had me on the edge of my seat the whole way but definitely provided the HEA my heart was crying for.

This was a continuation

This was a continuation book, Most of the story was good, but the author added a after thought to the end that wasn’t necessary. She really should have written a new book around the ending. Also the female Narrator was changed in the second book. This narrator Samantha is great as the female voice but terrible as the male voice. I wished it was the same voice as book 1.

Great Conclusion

The conclusion of the Wicked ways duet is finally here and it had me on edge since the very first pages of the book..

We finally get to know all the secrets and back agendas of the secondary and the main characters had, making us more aware of the vulnerability of Vaughn's situation..

Reveal is way more intense than the first book in the duet, a roller coaster of emotions. You will get to feel all the angst, worry and love these two characters had especially with all the chaotic things happening around them. life and circumstances kept lurking and trying to separate them but in this book, we finally get to see the heroine kicking some senses and embracing her power to finally put a stop to the bad ones.

The love, the chemistry, the passion between Ryker and Vaughn is way stronger in the conclusion of the duet. I love how in tune these two were since the very beginning and we get to feel more in Reveal.

In love with the narrations, Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor did an amazing job bringing the conclusion of Wicked ways to an end, with all the emotions and the depth these two characters needed to make the story even more profound and more enjoyable.. love what they did ..

Great conclusion, great characters, and a great story that will keep you on edge at all times..
