Publisher's summary

It was her dream job, but some dreams are nightmares.

All her life, Jade Church has dreamed of owning her own starship and flying the space lanes as a courier. Being paid to see the galaxy. that’s the life she’s always wanted...

Her first job was supposed to be easy. Just deliver a small case to a small, non-descript, colony planet, they said. Nobody told her she was carrying a priceless cargo.

Or that this small case had been stolen. Or she’d have to deal with ruthless soldiers, assassins, implacable AIs, and massive alien carnivores.

All on her first day.

Now, it’s not about the delivery, it’s about survival...

Interesting concept but overly complex. Great narration.

The narration was great! Totally helped me follow the characters with a story that had a lot of them.

Scifi Drama

Revenge of the Render is a good sci-fi adventure/drama. It's not listed as a part of a series and strictly speaking you don't need to have read the other books the author has written in the same world. But it did feel to me like there was a lot of backstory that was fleshed out in those previous books. I might have connected with the characters more if I was familiar with everything they went through, rather than hearing it explained quickly.

The narrator did a good job of being clear and differentiating between the characters.

In Martin Wilsey's "Simon: Revenge of the Render," narrated by Tracy Butler, Jade Church's dream job turns into a harrowing journey through galaxies filled with danger and intrigue. Wilsey's writing navigates seamlessly through a universe of ruthless soldiers, assassins, and alien predators, while Tracy Butler's narration brings each thrilling moment vividly to life. Fantastic story and performance

This story unfolded in a way that kept me interested and wondering what would happen next. It is a complicated plot and back-history, but was told in a way that was easy to follow with unexpected plot twists. Thus definitely leaves room fir prequels and sequels. Performance was excellent and added to the story.
