About this listen

Richard Jackson is a handsome, young inherently rich African American man, and the son of a wealthy Wall-Street investor from New York. Although wealth affords him with many of life’s pleasures, his search for the right woman to fall in love with and marry is going nowhere until he meets Debra Williams at a night club, a beautiful, young African American woman, living in the projects, and, with baby and baby mama drama involving her ex-husband, and the woman he cheated on her with and left her for.

Pretending to be a man of modest mean, he sheds all his wealth processions, drives an older model car and wears cheap clothing in order to meet a woman who will love him for himself and not his wealth, Richard is drawn to her beauty, strength, intelligence, and the kind way she treats others, but is weary of Debera’s baggage and all the emotional drama of dealing with her ex-husband whom he finds out is also a drug dealer.
However, when Debra’s ex finds out about Richard’s love interest in Debra, and out of jealously tries to frame Richard by falsely planting drugs to the police, Debera springs to the rescue. Richard begins to notice how truly wonderful Debra is and that she is the woman he has been searching for.

But, when Richard expresses his love for her and reveals to her that he is really rich, compounded by Richard’s father, who learns of his son’s intentions to marry a poor girl from the Bronx with a child, and that he wants to spend the rest of his life with this woman all hell breaks loose. Debera's emotions leave her blind to Richard's affections and Richard is now torn between the two worlds.

Finally, when Richard’s father, Charles Jackson, threatens to come between them, and Richard is willing to walk away from his wealth, Debera opens her eyes to the real love that is right in front of her. Not wanting to lose the love of his only begotten son, and after meeting Debra and her child, Charles began to slowly realize that not only would he be gaining a daughter in law, but a grandchild.
