Stellar as always!

I have been enjoying Maron’s books for about 4 months now. Reading them in order is a must to me, so I suggest the same to others. She keeps you guessing who the murder is while entertaining you with Judge Knott’s family life!

Still enjoying each book

Every book in this series has interesting facts about North Carolina, the judicial system and people I feel I know!

Usually the narrator is good but

Good story but the narrator kept changing some character voices and should have found out the correct pronunciation for real towns mentioned in the story.

Deborah and Dwight Get Married

Much of this book is about the wedding - the parties, bridal showers, extended families and clothes. If you are not interested in these things, you could skip this book and go on to the next in the series.

There is a mystery with some pretty good plot twists, but it seemed to be an afterthought. I did not get the same "sense of place" from this story as I have from earlier entries in the series.

Even so, Margaret Maron is one of my three favorite authors and I will continue to read this series.
