Fantastic! Even my seven year old raved!

If you have a Shakespeare phobia, this is the collection for you. I can't say enough great things about it. The history is good, the actors present it beautifully and the narrator will have you coming back for more. Definitely worth the money!

If a child must read R&J, get this recording

The language and slang are (as you know), are extremely anachronistic. The narrator explains and translates to modern English beautifully. After spending 4 hours listening to this recording, a modern teenager will be able to understand the historic context of the play and discuss the concepts as an adult

Anyone who writes a review of Shakespeare

Had better give it 5Stats. I really love these productions. The play is explained piecemeal and then delivered as a full course. Excellent!

Extremely Disappointing!

What an incredible pity that Shakespeare's beautiful work is polluted by a commentary that is low-minded and without any respect for the upright and God-fearing man that Shakespeare was and communicated through his plays. Shakespeare would be horrified to hear his work inundated with a non-intellectual, disrespectful, and immoral-minded tone. I am deeply disheartened by this audio, and when I have recovered from my shock and dismay, will listen to the pure plays of Shakespeare as they were meant to be in all their beauty and uprightness.
