Story
Madame Helena Blavatsky, in two introductory essays, offers students of Theosophical beliefs a wide-reaching and worldly outlook on the Ancient Mysteries. While demonstrating that much like Rosicrucian and Masonic philosophy, Theosophy has, at the heart of its doctrine, the concept of a Universal Brotherhood, she by no means forgets to include numerous Eastern influences, which help set apart the distinctive path of Theosophy, from other arenas of esoteric study...

Story
In the present age both Church and Science, the blindly-believing and the all-denying, are arrayed against the Secret Sciences, though Church and Science believed in and practised them - especially the Kabalah - at a not very distant period of history. One says now: “It is of the devil”! the other that the devil is a creation of the Church, and a disgraceful superstition ”in short that there is neither devil nor occult sciences. The first one forgets that it has publicly proclaimed, hardly 400 years ago, the Jewish Kabalah as the greatest witness to the truths of Christianity!

Story
Notable author and founder of the modern Theosophical movement Helena Blavatsky highlights Plato, his teachings, and his legacy in this essay. It is the Platonic philosophy, the most elaborate compend of the abstruse systems of old India that can alone afford us this middle ground. Although 22 and a quarter centuries have elapsed since the death of Plato, the great minds of the world are still occupied with his writings. He was, in the fullest sense of the word, the world's interpreter.

Story
Freemasonry is a fraternity within a fraternity- an outer organization concealing an inner brotherhood of the elect. Before it is possible to intelligently discuss the origin of the Craft, it is necessary, therefore, to establish the existence of these two separate yet interdependent orders, the one visible and the other invisible.

Brother Westcott is the perfect man to write on the aims of the Rosicrucians and their relationship to Freemasonry, as he was not only a Mason and a Rosicrucian himself but held the office of supreme magus of the masonic Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia. So, along with a thorough history of how the traditional Rosicrucian Order evolved over hundreds of years, he includes some brief remarks on the much newer S.R.I.A.

This is a new edition of Madame Blavatsky's famous book on shabd yoga. Her work has similarities with the Nada Bindu Upanishad and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and Shiv Dayal Singh's Sar Bachan. Highly recommended for those interested in meditation that focuses on listening to inner music and focusing on inner light and achieving spiritual liberation or moksha.

Poor Narration!
The awkward narration is very distracting which is very unfortunate considering the caliber of the work from such a renowned author. It's astonishing that such little consideration was taken in the choice.

Disappointed
This title is more a short story than a book. The time it takes to listen is surprisingly quick and void of any real rosicrucian content. Spending 1 credit on this is a rip-off.

very brief and not much informative
I was looking forward to detailed information about the three disciplines but this was just a gloss over. The writing and presentation was not fluid and appeared forced or technical. The presentation just seemed to address the history of the subject's.
