About this listen

First four books in the SEAL Brotherhood: Legacy series, which follows the same nine couples from the original SEAL Brotherhood series, but 10 years later. Now listeners can catch up on the lives of their favorite heroes and heroines from the original series: their marriages, divorces, children born and family drama. Some remain SEALs, others pursue other interests. But they all are fierce protectors of their brotherhood, the innocent, and fight for truth, honor and freedom. They never quit. They don't care what the odds are. They make their own odds.

Included in this set are:

Watery Grave: Gunny's ashes come back ten years later and Kyle and Christy arrange a cruise to bring him to his final resting place at the bottom of the ocean. But Davey Jones has another plan in mind.

Honor the Fallen: Coop and Libby's story as their family contracts, and expands unexpectedly as a new member arrives at their doorstep just as one old member of their clan is ready to pass on.

Grave Injustice: The unthinkable happens to Armando and how he and his family weather the storm.

Deal with the Devil: Nick and Devon find old enemies coming to attack once again which risks all of their lives and everything they've accomplished at their winery and lavender farm.

Riveting, great balance of romance & suspense

Love a multiple book set that lets you flow from one great story to the next in a series? Check.
Enjoy a protective, romantic hero with character yet realism in his behaviors? Check x 4.
Want female characters that are not ditzy, but strong and believable, and add value to their families and friendships? Check.
(don't miss the bats in the "Deal with the Devil..." )
Want enough suspense to keep you engaged and listening, diverting your attention from (whatever mundane task you have to do...)? Check.
Want some sizzle to keep it interesting? This has an "open door" heat index rivaling Texas in July....Check!

In other words, for me, this set was a great way to listen to a series. I loved the narration - he made the story come alive - it was the way the stories were knit together. These are not simple happy stories - you live through their ups and downs, there is an ultimately good ending, but a journey I appreciated to get there.

One thing I do recommend? "Watery Grave" - the first book - is built on the Seal Brotherhood series, 10 years later, and the many couples that emerged from those stories. It could be a spoiler to read/listen to any of these 4 legacy books - but in particular, Watery Grave, if you then intend to read / listen to the originals series.

I did receive a free "ARC" of this in exchange for my honest review. However, this series would be well worth spending one of my Audible credits on - and I give it my recommendation.

I will be going back and buying the earlier books...the journey to their now-happy lives will be engrossing!

Legacy!

This is four stories in the Legacy of the SEAL Brotherhood. The stories included are "Watery Grave" (Kyle and Christy), "Honor of the Fallen" (Coop and Libby), "Grave Injustice" (Armando and Gina) and "Deal with the Devil" (Nick and Sophia). We get to catch in the SEALs lives and see the good, bad and truly amazing. All four books were easy to read and kept my attention. I love the characters in these stories. I did listen to the audio version of the books and thought the narrator did a great job bringing the story and characters to life.

Fantastic Series!

It isn’t a myth, SEAL teams are a family of its own. The brotherhood between the men is untouchable!
This audible consists of the first 4 books in the Legacy series and I enjoyed each one.

The Legacy series looks back on the previous couples we met in earlier books but is set 10 years apart. This allows us a look in each of their lives and see how much they have grown together.

I have only read a handful of these books but I really enjoy listening to the audible version because it allows me to feel the words that is being said and not just read them!
Sharon Hamilton is an incredible author and her SEAL books are the best!

Awesome series

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. There was just so much going on that I couldn't put it down. Team mates pulling together as one big family. Their wives complimented their husbands in how strong and supporting they are. Each one is different and gets you in the heart with what they go through.

good read/mah listen

I liked the books. The story lines and characters were good and captivating. However, I had a hard time getting interested due to the narration. It took a me a lot longer to get invested due to the narrator's tones and inflections, or lack there of.

Enjoyed All But One

This book contains four novels that share the story of four couples approximately ten years after they got together in the first books about them. I hadn't read or listened to any of the original books (though I did go back and buy some because I enjoyed three of these books); you don't have to know the couple’s early story to understand their later story, though I imagine these novels may have greater meaning if you already knew and liked the couples.

I thoroughly enjoyed three of these stories, but I didn't like one at all. All are spicy on an intimate level and a little profane and crude at times. One story included low-level spanking, which I just don't like to see in a romance at all. Every book does contain heavier elements, like the included SEAL team missions (and vacation cruise that ended up being an “off the books” mission) that include human trafficking. Some personal aspects of the stories are heavy as well, including more death than you might expect. The story that I could not stand included early spousal death. Why introduce us to a sympathetic main character that we definitely can relate to and like and then have that character die early in the book? (The book could have started with the other spouse in mourning.) I liked the powerful heroes and the equally strong women they have chosen to be their life partners. I found some of the women a little abrasive at times, but I guess you have to be a tough cookie to get along with these alpha guys!

TRIGGERS: Spousal death, parental death, military death, human trafficking, rape, underage $ex, threats of personal harm, spanking in an intimate setting

Bana-Liked the updated

Have a trip coming up so I saw this collection and S.Hamilton new it was worth the credit, Was surprised when I realized it's a ten-year update from her other seal team book. kind a giving and end the story. I did like all the changes in the curators but that's life. they seem to be more down to earth a little weak (human)
