About this listen

Due a few days of R&R, Hudson heads to visit his best friend in Vail, Colorado. The first day, an explosion in his hotel sends the city into chaos. He’s doing what he can to keep Avery safe, as this was no accident. He’s not allowed to join the investigation, but being on the spot and having the training he has are huge benefits. No way will he sit by and do nothing. Especially if Avery is in trouble.

Avery has been looking forward to Hudson’s visit. They are best friends, and she’d love to spend more time with him. Hell, she’d loved him since forever but didn’t want to risk their special friendship by taking the relationship further. Now she regrets it, as the explosion in town is only the tip of the problem - for the terrorist realizes that Hudson caught a glimpse of him.

Now the game of cat and mouse is on, with Avery caught in the middle....

I’ve obviously listened to over 21 of Dale Meyer’s books to get this far in and I have to agree with a previous reviewer that the only reason I’m still listening (reading gives me migraines) is because of the story lines. She needs to find better narrators. I have trouble sometimes following bc I can’t always catch the change in the person. Especially when it’s males speaking. Either get another guy to read that can also do female voices or get 2 narrators. See who Janet Evanovich uses. Those are great examples of terrific narrators.

"I'm the sister of the woman you love." That whole sentence is enough to just say no.

Dale Mayer, "JUST STOP WITH THIS"

I like dale Mayer and have listened to.a lot of her books but this narrator made this book painful to listen to and impossible to get through. I kept losing track of the story because he was soooooo monotone and I could not ever tell who was talking. I honestly don't even know if the story was any good,.the narration was that bad. buy a different dale mayer book. don't waste a credit on this one.
