About this listen

“This series is my new addiction!”~ Reviewer
Nothing's ever as it seems in Ohia, Maui, especially for me, Kat Smith.

I'm Secret Service, not Postal Service, stuck in the back end of paradise and making the best of it when the grasping plans of a developer threaten to take out our small town. Even the evil post office cat, Tiki, is outraged by the hostile takeover of our “small island.” Meanwhile, someone's out there whacking the bad guys. Literally.
I have to find a way to help, or I might lose the place and people I'm coming to love.

Virtual voice doesn’t pronounce Hawaiian words correctly

I enjoyed the story and characters but every time the virtual voice mispronounced the Hawaiian names and places and simple phrases it was distracting and annoying. I think it’s VERY disrespectful to mangle the language so badly. Otherwise Toby Neal has written a story with the Hawaiian details authentic!!

I love the blending of characters from the other Toby books.

Not too serious, a bit of silliness and fun tossed in throughout the story. Enjoyable read. I'm still pleasantly surprised at the artificial voice. Definitely better than a lot of the voice actors in the audiobook world.(Not Sara Malia Hatfield and Sonja Field, but other authors narrators).

Same Book as Turtle Terror

I kept thinking I was playing the wrong book over. Nope. Turtle Terror and Small Island are playing the same story which wasn’t that great. Boo, Hiss Audible.

First draft

This Series of books read like they were written by an 11-year-old and it was her first draft. The stupidity of the characters. No matter the situation is really bad. She's supposed to be a secret service agent laying low, but she tells everybody she's a secret service agent. The only secret service agent, she could be was one in Trump's detail. She does the stupidest things the whole thing about her having a touch phobia is even moreover the top. How could you be a secret Service agent if you couldn't touch anyone. She's supposedly been made Postmaster of this little town.Which she always seems to be able to close or call in sick from .She lives in a shack doesn't have a car.So tell me, did she not make any money when she was a secret service agent, does she not get paid for working in the post office? Her boyfriend Mr. K Is completely enthralled with her. Don't ask me why. If she mentions her Nike shoes once she mentions twenty times, Not flip flops mind you. Have read another couple of her books from a different series that are not nearly this bad so it makes you suspect AI writing.. Or these were books she wrote as a kid and decided to publish them with just a little updating. And everybody in this little Hawaiian town has completely accepted her. 🙄 The plots are simplistic, dialogue Is poor formula. Artificial intelligent reading fits this book.
