About this listen

This exceptional work was published anonymously in 1882, although it has been possible to prove its authorship in the pen of the nineteenth-century Freemason Robert Hewitt Brown. The book is part of the Anglo-Saxon Masonic literary tradition of the 19th century that combined interest in the more mystical spirituality of Freemasonry with the rigor and scientific methodology of the time. In this commendable essay we can see in a fascinating way how the author tries to explain in the ritual of fraternity, ultimate and initiatory truths compatible with the truth of all times and scientific knowledge. This great project is approached with the utmost rigor by its author, starting from historical-critical assumptions and axioms, to search for a way of explaining not only the human condition, but the cosmos as a whole, in its symbolic richness. Brown invites us to compare the Ancient Mysteries with Freemasonry and to explore and understand the importance of solar worship. With this work he settles once and for all where lies the true relevance of Ancient Egypt in Masonic rituals.

Stellar Theology and Masonic Astronomy is without a doubt the best Masonic work out there. This incredibly detailed book reveals the hidden meanings behind the hidden signs and symbols of ancient times. It also reveals how Freemasonry is connected to Judaism, Christianity, and the Bible. Finally, it shows what the ancients knew about astronomy and how it was incorporated into the various religions of the world. Brown explores the legends, emblems, and symbols of the world and how they were all connected to ancient astronomical systems.

This is a book about "open secrets." Open secrets are those that are plainly seen, available to everyone, yet have their meaning hidden because most people simply do not know the meaning behind the symbology.

There is a foreword by Jordan Maxwell and comments on each chapter of this volume plus an extensive life story and who was this enigmatic person in those days It is also an unabridged, digitally enlarged printing to include all illustrations by the author plus others by Jordan maxwell and some interesting quites and commentaries. The original book was Stellar Theology and Masonic Astronomy, or, The Origin and Meaning of Ancient and Modern Mysteries Explained .

This work is divided into three parts. Part One, the Introduction, is contained in the first four chapters. In Chapter 1, Robert Hewitt Brown, 32° Mason, tells why he is revealing the hidden meanings behind the ancient mysteries that make up Masonic beliefs. Brown indicates that everything he reveals has been published elsewhere by proper Masonic authorities. They are "open secrets."

Part Two goes into detail about MASONIC astronomy, and the allegory of the seasonal death and resurrection of the Heavenly Sun. Chapter 5 shows Masonic astronomy in the architecture, words and ritual of Freemasonry. The relationship between the Masonic ritual and the symbols with the Temple of Solomon is revealed. Identification is made of the Masonic fictitious character of Hiram Abif.

Part 3 starts with Chapter 7, the heart of the book, is the largest chapter and has the most revealing information. It contains an astronomical explanation of the emblems, symbols and legends of the mysteries.
