The Shape of Everything

This book reminded me of how I saw the world as a child. When I was very young, I spent a tremendous amount of time to myself and so, I was not told how I was supposed to experience the world. Therefore, I experienced it as it is—totally alive and perpetually dynamic or to put it another way, always new. It wasn’t until I started school and was forced to be around other children that I realized how static and unalive other people experienced everything. So, I spent the next 25 years actively ignoring people so that I would not be infected by whatever was getting them. But, after two divorces and decades of being misunderstood, I decided to pretend to see the world as they did. It was lonely and not fun. So now, I’m listening to books like this that remind me of what I know—that all is One and reality takes on the shape of everything. Nothing and no one is left out and all is well.
