About this listen

When it comes to sizzling urban drama, Sasha Campbell is at the very top of the game. In Scandals, Monica Houston is a newly divorced mom who makes ends meet as an exotic dancer at Scandalous, the hottest club around. But if the ex finds out, she runs the risk of losing her kids.

Meanwhile, sexy dancer Robin Wright thinks she might be in over her head when her sister is sent to jail and her nephew is thrust into her care. Unprepared for this new role, Robin finds herself falling for the kid’s “big brother”, even as she tries to prove her sister’s innocence.

Scandelous

Pretty good story. Started innocent and desperate for one woman. Chance meeting others to school her in the game of the trade.

Scandals

I loved it. The rebound lovers were better than the first. It has mystery, romance, violent and deceptive men. Great listen ♥️

good read

great storyline and was narrated very well. loved it. I like how the author ties everything together at the end. it works out well and has a happy ending despite all the juicy drama that happens from beginning to end

It's gonna do what it's gonna do

Would you try another book from Sasha Campbell and/or Karen Pittman and Krystal King ?

I listened to this book while I was visiting Saipan. I must say that my trips around the island went very quickly while listening, so I was entertained, but....thats where my compliments stop.
In my opinion, this is a popcorn book.....Lots of fluff but not much substance. I've known a couple of strippers in a past life, and while Scandals is entertaining, it doesn't hold up when compared to reality. I found both characters unrealistic in this regard. Despite other reviews, I found the plot twists predictable. If nothing else the book is an interesting and entertaining read that kept my attention throughout the book. The performance was above par and very professional!

Women protect yourself.

That's right, before you allow someone else to protect you, protect yourself. A good education is a must for all women. Never take your education for granted. Never!

A great book....... but I hated the narraters

Where does Scandals rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranks high it was a great book

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scandals?

Monica waking up to Ms. Rayna

What about Karen Pittman and Krystal King ’s performance did you like?

I didn't like the readers. I've heard them both before. The voice of Robin did not match her character, she was described way to pretty to have such a heavy voice. The voice of Monica over reads and is always to dramatic which is the way she reads every book I've heard her narrate, she over emphasis her words and speak so hard that it becomes annoying.

Who was the most memorable character of Scandals and why?

Both Monica and Robin are great characters

Any additional comments?

Despite the readers the book was still great.

Very good book

Would you consider the audio edition of Scandals to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scandals?

When one of the girls was found dead and we found out who it was. That was kind of sad.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes. Both narrators did a good job. They were enthusiastic and acted out their parts well. The only thing is the person who narrated as Robin, her voice didn't go with what the character was supposed to look like.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Don't judge someone by their secrets

Any additional comments?

Good book with a slight, yet unpredictable twist at the end.
