About this listen

From New York Times best-selling author JaQuavis Coleman comes this heart-wrenching thriller following the life of a young inner-city kid through one night in the streets of Flint, Michigan.

In the middle of a water crisis, Money, a popular young boy throughout his neighborhood, has gotten himself into a deadly game of cat and mouse as he struggles to survive through the night when the city’s most notorious crime lord orders a hit on him.

This story follows Money as he is on the run for his life desperately trying to find help in a lawless town. This intense game of survival leads into an unpredictable ending that will leave you breathless.

AMAZING STORYLINE

I actually loved the production and narration of the book. It was creative and painted a vivid picture for the audience. I was intrigued the whole time. The storyline was good until the end but I can see the set up for part 2. So hopefully part 2 does it’s job and ties everything together.

Love the performance the most.

the story line was very good; however, I didn't like the narration. I kept asking "who is we? "

Great story

So this is my first audible book. The readers were okay. The story line seemed to drag on but there was nothing juicy. Usually, there is more with JaQuavis’ books. I will wait to see how the second part reads but just know I will always support my favorite writers even on off days, lol.

Ok read

Pros:
1. Nice story.
2. Short and to the point
3. The ending was really good. Wild & unexpected
4. I would definitely read (listen to) a part 2 if it were to come out

Cons:
1. Money was GREEN!!!!!! Lawd was he green! I understand there are folks with book smarts & street smarts but geez…he had all the book smarts and nothing else. And most kids of addicts have street smarts
2. Plays out like a screenplay. I didn’t really like that. It’s very descriptive so I didn’t need to hear them tell me about puddle sounds & chains clanking. I can picture it on my own.

Ok

This by far wasn't Mr. Coleman's best work. It was all over the place. Next-time.

Not his best

thus book would have been better if it had a better narrator and less music like a movie. it just seemed like when it was read one chapter ran into another, which caused confusion of the characters and scene.

it was ok...

Music was soooo annoying! Narration was bad as well. Great story though! Now we wait 2 years for part 2!

Kinda disappointed

It started off a little slow but as the storyline unfolded, the suspense kept me wanting to hear more! Good read!
