The Truth is Out There
This book provides a very thorough discussion of the Fermi paradox-the discrepancy between the high probability of the existence of extraterrestrial life and the lack of conclusive evidence of such life. One the one hand, we still do not have definitive proof that we are not alone, however, the author provides numerous detailed examples of reported encounters. Some of these encounters could be explained by weather, military activities, or other phenomena, but many of the public reports have no explanation. The author himself had an experience that has motivated him to delve deeper into this topic. Instead of coming across as a crazed zealot, the author provides a convincing argument for more research and more government transparency with what is already known. He provides enough information to make this reader want to explore more about the topic. Current projects like the James Webb telescope and the Galileo Project at Harvard are designed to help us discover if we are not alone in the cosmos. The Galileo Project states that its goal is to "bring the research for extraterrestrial technological signatures Extraterrestrial Technological Civilizations (ETCs) from accidental or anecdotal observations and legends to the mainstream of transparent, validated and systematic scientific research." Similarly, the James Webb Telescope is designed to answer Fermi's question "where is everybody", among other pursuits to characterize how the universe works. Public curiosity in this topic seems to be at a high point and this book is a well-written argument for further exploration and a great place for someone to start their own research into the possibility of extraterrestrial life and contact with other life forms.

Genuinely Impressed
As a self-proclaimed skeptic, I was genuinely impressed by the compelling evidence presented in this audiobook. The thorough exploration of UFO sightings and government involvement in UAP cover-ups challenged my skepticism. Very Entertaining
I actually bought this for a friend who is into all this stuff but I did give it a listen and found it very entertaining. The book delves much further into government conspiracies then I have ever heard or considered before - I found it entertaining and the narration really adds to the ambience of the book. Definitely worth giving a listen.

Thorough review of the entire alien phenomenon
"UFOs, Close Encounters & Alien Investigations" is an explorative, interesting and comprehensive read about the alien phenomenon. Barry Scheurweghs takes the reader on a journey from the earliest suggestions of the existence of aliens through several credible and modern eyewitness accounts and 'contacts'. He also discusses the potential basis of government secrecy over the decades - while suggesting that as interest in UFOs (UAPs) and alien contact becomes more and more mainstream, transparency will have to increase. Having had my own siting of a UFO as a 12 year old kid that piqued my interest in alien phenomenon my whole life, I appreciated having the information on UFOs and alien encounters presented in such an organized and historical fashion. I was particularly interested in Barry's discussion about how we as a "human society" should consider our human interaction with aliens if and when they come - as friend or foe, especially given our own human history of how we react and treat those different from ourselves. I found this book an enjoyable and facinating read, and would highly recommend it - whether an alien enthusiast or a new comer.

An Amazing Book
Let's look at the facts people have been seeing things for a long time flying that they could not identify. Now the US Government /Penagon has made an offical statement that UFO/UAP are real and the Government does not know what they are or where they are from. Skeptics beware this book is filled with research facts. "You do better in life if you have an open mind, because it lets you think outside the box". I have talked to people that do not believe there are other people /aliens in the universe. If you look at how many billion stars that astronomers have said have planets it seems logical we are not alone. So if there is no other life out there it is an awful waste of space.
I have found this book is very comprehensive coverage of the UFO/UAP phenomena. The book "Secret Government Cover-ups" is a must read/listen for people with an open mind, skeptics and believers alike.
