About this listen

Jenna McGovern’s strappy shoes and sundresses are not going to cut it when she makes the move from Hollywood Hills to Blueberry Lake, Minnesota in the stone-cold dead of winter. A former stylist to the stars, Jenna’s determined to bring the latest red-carpet fashions back to the Midwest in an effort to revive her mother’s floundering thrift shop.

But when a difficult client is found dead hours after visiting the store from a high heel to the throat, she becomes the chief of police’s number-one suspect. If Jenna doesn’t clear her name quickly, she’ll not only lose the chance to style the biggest winter wedding Blueberry Lake has ever seen, but her mother’s thrift store will go under for good - and Jenna will be stuck flaunting the worst fashion of all time: a neon orange jumpsuit.

Entertaining, whimsical storyline with great narration

I feel good murder mystery story. Very entertaining, few moments of laugh out loud, murder mystery without taking itself too seriously. Excellent narration.

narrator is obnoxious

I struggled with trying to finish it. the narrator was so obnoxious. the author followed suit with so many other mystery writers who always the main charactor the courageous hero who kills the murderer. this time with perfume and face powder. she becomes fearless and brave. that's not realistic...its just silly. she said "fine"way too many times. she was pushy, bossy and arrogant....I ended up hating her.i only finished the book to find out who was the murderer.

Ugh...

This was so tough to get through. The main character was self centered & totally in love with herself. I can’t even count on 2 hands how many times I rolled my eyes at an absolutely lame & ridiculous line. What a waste of money & time.

Only finished because I paid for it

Jenna is too in to brands for my taste. the story was ok. But the characters we so sickeningly stereotypical.
