Excellent perspective on God’s nature

I absolutely adore Leif Hetland as a minister of God’s amazing love! His conveyance of the truths which he shares in this work is beautiful. Unfortunately, I found it difficult to listen to for most of the reading due to the over-the-top, pleading, melodramatic narration. It was apparent that the narrator was attempting to convey the overwhelming love which Hetland describes, but it came across is strained, hokey, and often excruciatingly awkward to listen to with the dripping intonations, over-enunciation, and ridiculous, croaky vocal acting affected each time he would read from scripture or any other reference, or cartoonish ‘villain’ voices used when reading passages quoting the Pharisees or others. This ended up sounding painfully eager and over-done, like an earnest actor on a high school drama club stage trying to do Shakespeare. It was terribly distracting, but Hetland brings forth such beautiful revelation of God’s love, it is well worth slogging through. It pains me to offer such criticism, but the narration sadly diminished this book for me in a big way.

Cant get past the narrators voice

I’ll have to purchase the actual book. I just cant get seem to get past the narrator’s voice. The way the narrator talks is so distracting from the message.

Mostly dissatisfied

What did you like best about Seeing Through Heaven's Eyes? What did you like least?

Most: The message and passion behind it
Least: the narrator

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would't have.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I only purchased the Audible book and not the written book. And this was my first time reading this author. It was difficult to get to the text of this book because the voice of the recorder was difficult for me to listen too. He spoke forced, staccato and overemphasized words like a hard 'a' rather than 'a' (or ah) and taste, with both 't's overemphasized and not a soft 't' at the end, They rhythm was awkward for me too. It may just be me, but if the reader's style isn't smooth and easy listening is uncomfortable. For me this recording was just too challenging to listen to. I will be reading another one of Leif's books because his writing comes highly recommended.

Could you see Seeing Through Heaven's Eyes being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No

Any additional comments?

I'm sad. I was really excited about listening to Leif's Book.
