Publisher's summary

-"Is not this written in the Scroll of Yahshar?" Yahoshua-Joshua, 10: 13.-"Behold it is written in the Scroll of Yahshar." II Samuel, 1: 18-“Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the emet: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.”- Second Timothy 3:8________________________________________INTRODUCTIONThe Scroll of Yahshar was not a book written by a man named "Yahshar". Actually the Hebrew is Sefer HaYahshar meaning “the book of the upright.” Around 93 CE when Josephus Flavius wrote his "Antiquities of the Jews" he knew the Scroll of Yahshar as one of "the books laid up in the Temple." (Ant. 5:1:17) The Temple had been destroyed over twenty years earlier (but in his own lifetime). The 1625 edition of Yahshar has a Preface, which says in part (translated from the Hebrew); when the set-apart city of Jerusalem was destroyed by Titus, all the military heads went in to rob and plunder. And among the officers of Titus, was one whose name was Sidrus, who went in to search, and found in Jerusalem a house of great extent. According to the preface this Sidrus found a false wall in this house with a hidden room. In this room he found an old man hiding with provisions and many books including the Scroll of Yahshar. The old man found favor with Sidrus, who took the old man and his books with him. The preface says, "They went from city to city and from country to country, until they reached Sevilia [a city in Spain]." According to the 1625 edition of Yahshar the first printed edition of the Scroll of Yahshar was published in Naples Italy in 1552. However no copies of the 1552 edition are known to have survived. The earliest surviving Hebrew edition known is the 1625 edition. The only genuine and verifiable English translation of Sefer Yahshar from the Hebrew edition of 1625 (other later English books by the same name are proven forgeries) in print is a translation made by Moses Samuel, published by Morechai Noah in 1840, and then reprinted several times since. It is that English translation that serves as the base text for this English True Name Edition of Sefer Yahshar. As part of the restoration of all things, we have restored this historical scroll as part of Scripture, following deep prayer and meditation. This has been done due to the overwhelming evidence of its usage as Scripture by Moses, Joshua, Samuel, the Apostle Paul and believers in the Tanach, as well as the early Nazarene Israelite assemblies. The exact quotes in the Scroll of Jasher from both the Tanach and the Brit Chadasha solidified the moving of the Ruach upon our hearts. This is a joyous and momentous act of faith and restoration, undoing many centuries of the suppression of the Hebraic truths that undergird the Renewed Covenant. The Scroll is a powerful second witness to most of the events contained in Torah and the Scroll of Joshua. May all who share this joy and excitement draw forth more of Yahusha from the wells of restoration.*** Indicates a slight correction due to some scribal error. All such adjustments are minor and have been made to reconcile all numbers and genealogies with those recorded in the Torah. The integrity of the scroll has not been changed, or compromised in any manner. The true Name of YHUH been restored as well.X-YHUH’S Words are in italics.
