Blatant narrator mistakes and misreadings left in

Was this recorded as a first and only take? at about 4:15:30 the narrator says the people "defy" the character in question, then pauses, then corrects himself to "deify" the character, then continues to pause, misread, and stumble through the paragraph. There are pauses (outright radio silence) as long as 4 full seconds. Why was this not edited? Most unprofessional thing I've ever downloaded from audible.
