Very good

I found this audiobook to be a very good listen. This is the second book in the series and was even better than the first. It tends to draw you in and keep you interested all the way to the end. The narrator does a great job with each character.

Terrific Book 2

Endora and Kaydon's journey continues and once again we are taken on a fast paced journey. I had a hard time putting this one down since alot of answers were revealed however as any good Book 2 it still left me with quesions Book 2 that I'm sure will be answered in the next book. The narrator was on point with perfect pacing and distingushable character voices. I look forward to seeing where theis journy leads next

Another suspensful mythical romance drama!

The story starts to get more complex in this book and the characters develop in ways you maybe didn't expect them too. The mythology is inventive and gives a rich backdrop for the teen romance and best friends and enemies as they do battle to change their fates or enforce the fates, depending which side they're on.
The narrator really gets comfy with her characters in these novels and brings Sophie Davis' characters to life nicely. Davis' does a good job at carrying us through the teenage angst and I was both surprised and silently urging 'No, no! Don't do THAT!' at many points - just like a good movie!
I think if you enjoyed the first, you'll definitely enjoy this and now I have to see what happens in the third! Yes, a suspense filled cliffhanger ending!
I was given a promo code for an honest review of this book

Leaves you needing more!!

Wow this continuation of the story helps answers a lot of questions! The romance is a bit lacking in this one so no girly swoon moment but the ending leaves you craving to know what happens next!!

Get ready for more action and surprises!

I thought book one, Pawn, was action packed and full of twists and turns... This book heightened that. A few questions were answers and new ones formed. I couldn't stop listening. I had to find out what was going to happen next and what secrets and surprises were to be exposed. Endora and Kayden are on the run to find out the truth. As they expose more and more of the mysterious story of both of their fates, they start to form a closer relationship. Then we are hit with another ending that makes us need way more. I love this series. It's a fun YA story that is truly addicting. I am so invested with the characters. I feel like I am on this adventure with them! Part of that is this authors great writing, and the other part is the narrator who is the perfect voice for these characters and this overall theme.

Great continuation

Dived head first into this series and started book 2 shortly after finishing the first book. Shadow Fate, starts off where the first book ended. We follow both Eel and Kaydon on their journey trying to find this mysterious gate. I struggled with the couple on this book a bit due to them hiding stuff from each other but I have to remember that they did it because they thought they were okay in keeping that information to themselves. I enjoyed learning more of the puzzle as they did. The mythology factor is great. I absolutely love it and the world building along the way is great!!

The narrator, Kate Richardson is the same narrator as the first book. I found her narration to be okay. I think she’s a great voice for Eel but the high pitch voice she uses for other female characters can be grating at times. I did listen to this book at a faster pace and I found that it helped it some.

The suspense is killing me

I so love this series and the amazing world building and character depth Sophie Davis is able to give us. Endora is sweet and sassy and undeniably human. I have really enjoyed this take on Greek mythology and can’t wait for the next one. We get some answers in this book but are ultimately left with many more questions.

Great for Young & Adults, too!!

I have listened to Shadow Fate 1. This has a smooth transition from Book 1 into Book 2. I adored the writing and plot just as much as I did in Book 1. The story was consistently in line and just as action packed and intriguing. The author, Sophie Davis, did add a new twist with convos between Devon and Jameson. And I must say, with a great deal of humor. Devon's one-liners to Jameson cracked me up and I was roaring with laughter!

Kate Richardson did an exemplary job with narration. I have listened to her before and she has always done well. She had a few more voices to add to her repertoire and managed them with ease.

The only drawback to this book, and it isn't much of one at all, is that it ended a tad bit sooner than I expected, chapter and time wise. But anyone following this series will easily understand why it did so. Readers of Shadow Fate have known from the middle of Book 1 that a trip into Tartarus was in the works. It has been a well established fact of this plotline. And I expect the timing was the natural ending of earth realm and, I expect, the next will be seeing us in Tartarus fairly quickly.
