Where does Sherlock Holmes rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This performance is near the top. It is a recording of a movie from the Rathbone / Bruce years. It is not a reading but actual performance. If you have not seen the movie it might be hard to follow, but if you loved that movie series, just listening to it again is great.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The characters of Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson as played by Rathbone and Bruce are great. The other cast of character actors lend atmosphere.

Any additional comments?

The only missing piece is the original opening score. I am sure there was a reason the movie score was not included.

Rathbone/Bruce are priceless
