A brilliant leader, a just ruler, women liberator and a statesman of consummate craft who was kept uneducated deliberately by his Brahmin Guru Dadaji Konda Dev. However, Shivaji was able to outwit French, Dutch, Portuguese, and British in establishing his reign and even establishing a navy too.
Since he was always at war therefore barely had a time to deice new system & rules to manage his subject of the kingdom. Shivaji could not enforce reforms in Hindu society which was riddled with excesses of brahminshai which always supported Mughal rule. He resented Mughals dominance because Hindu rulers accepted vassal of Mugals instead of joining Hindu confederation to oust Mughals.
An interesting, engrossing and vibrant epic of Shivaji’s advenrures who could conceive an Hindu Empire in 17th century.
