Story
Most of the successful private prospectors who’d struck it rich during the California and Nevada gold rushes during the mid- to late-1800s, had journeyed westward with a specific plan from which they never deviated. Upon achieving their pre-defined goals, they packed up and returned to their original homes in distant regions of the United States. There were also plenty of others, who’d been unable to pull the plug after striking it rich, believing their lucky streak to be a never-ending one.

Thrilling adventure story!
Simon: Superhero Continuum (book 3 of 3) by Lucas W. Mayberry is a fantastic mix of sci fi, fantasy and time travel. This book jumps right in where #2 left off and I’ve been waiting for this book to see how the adventure progresses! I think it’s almost imperative to read the books in order to have the best reading / listening experience. Superhuman Simon is hurdled 65 million years into the past and has to make his way back to the present. On his roller coaster travels through time, he befriends King Arthur and some new “old” friends and enemies. Meanwhile Simon’s wife, Vasia, lies in a coma in the hospital, but with the help the mystery man, Ronan, takes a trip to learn some truths about her life. Back and forth in time, Simon battles the evil Morgana and Unwin, but the last battle will be the most important! There are interesting characters, great descriptions of the time and place, lots of twists and turns and a great deal of action. The narration by Steve Field is great. His performance and use of unique voices brings the character and story to life. Highly recommended for fantasy and sci fi fans!

Good story and performance
The story dragged on and on in several places. The wedding of Arthur was just too long and boring. It did mot add anything to the story. This happened a lot within this book. The performance was good. It took a while to get used to the accent and trembly voice of the narrator, but once I got past that difficulty he did a good job bringing the story to life. The second book was much better than this book. This was a disappointing follow-up.
