About this listen

Locked in a desperate struggle against overwhelming odds, Lawson Holland is in a tug of war: on one side is his sense of duty to a country he’s served for his entire life; on the other, his desire to protect his son from further harm.

Can he turn his back on one, if that decision threatens the survival of the other?
Will he be paralyzed by the fear of inevitable loss, or will he ‘sing his death song, and die like a hero going home?'

Frightening, emotional

This entire series was so emotional and frightening. I sew quilts for veterans touched by war and I can only imagine what most have gone through. This series made it seem personal for me. I hate that Tony died but I understand it keeps a future story line possible.
When I visit with veterans so many are concerned with our weakening military capability. I hope that this isn’t a picture of what the future of the United States could be. I am looking forward to future Lawson Holland books.
