Publisher's summary

A great introduction to a new world

An interesting fantasy universe with Shamers; people with the ability to force others to feel and re-live the shame within them. To me there are a lot of parallels to Confessors in the Sword of Truth series, maybe because they serve the same purpose in society.
It is is a short book with an interesting universe. That alone makes it worth the read.
I hope the series continues to build on the characters, which are relatable, but still quite shallow in their depth.
