About this listen

Some legends don’t want to stay hidden—and some secrets won’t stay buried.

When a Navajo girl vanishes in the high desert of Arizona, Lux Branson is asked to help, even though this time the stakes are deeply personal. Her old friend Jackson believes his girlfriend was taken by a Skinwalker—an evil shapeshifter from Navajo lore.

Skeptical but determined, Lux joins the search. The deeper they go into the red rock canyons and sacred lands, the more disturbing the evidence becomes. Something ancient is watching. And it doesn’t want them to leave.

With time running out and local tensions rising, Lux must navigate a world of myth, magic, and vengeance—where not everything wearing a human face is still human.

Skinwalkers is a haunting thriller of Native folklore, spiritual danger, and unrelenting suspense.

the AI narration was a little tough with this one, because it's a rich and vibrant story that lacked verbal inflection from the narrator. but still a good listen.

Well told story

Got to chapter 7 before giving up. I usually appreciate cultural teachings, but this was the slowest and most painful way. No story happening and so much awkward dialogue, which was negatively enhanced by ai reader.

Exhausting to listen to
