About this listen

Geniuses. Captains of Industry. Crackpots.

In an alternate 1948, Preston Tucker, idyllic dreamer, and Howard Hughes, billionaire eccentric, begin a venture of epic proportions. Little is known of their work as they gather familiar faces to make the true car of tomorrow.

But shadowy figures threaten to derail their efforts. Can they find out who would try to sabotage the advancement of a new era, or will they be considered harbingers of a dark future?

Very enjoyable listen

Roberto not only has a special way with the audible word but also with the written word. Skyways was the best of both

Highly entertaining!💜

This unique story was thought provoking and highly entertaining. I wasn’t sure how much I would enjoy this story until I started listening. I always enjoy thinking about the “what if” and “I wonder what would happen if” scenarios, and this story addresses questions many of us ponder. Roberto Scarlato has a brilliant mind and a kind heart. He’s also a devoted family man and while this story is science fiction, I see Roberto within the pages everywhere.
Roberto is also a fantastic story teller. His voice acting skills and performances are stellar. They way he portrays each character is fun and so enjoyable. Well done!
This is a standalone and I highly recommend this book.

Skyways of Tomorrow

A fanciful retelling of history with Howard Hughes backing the Tucker and making changes. They run into opposition, but why?It was fun. Roberto Scarlato was the perfect narrator for his book! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

highly recommended

Sky ways of Tomorrow by Roberto Scarlato is one of those rare treasure of a book that transports you back into the past  that is filled with nostalgia but yet incorporates future elements that we hope to create in the future.

I especially loved the use old school language, mannerisms and anecdotes that is used throughout while giving us a glimpse back into time where everything seemed innocent.  The book is a thrilling page turner/listen that is full of intrigue and twists that I guarantee the reader will love.

I loved the character of Preston, and even through the  misfortunes that happen to him through the story he never gave up hope of pursuing his dream. The relationship between Hughes and Preston made me laugh out loud a few times, this was down to the author narrating the story himself which I believe added something extra to the story as it was more engaging with different voices.

I would highly recommend this story for everyone and to take inspiration from Preston, always follow your dreams, no matter what.

Simplistic but entertaining

This is a semi-historical story. Indeed there was a real Howard Hughes and a real Preston Tucker (who did dream up a fantastic automobile!). Although fiction, I enjoyed the book if only because it barely brushed by the real story that I was interested in. But it went a little far with the intrigue and even (gulp!) supernatural leavings.

Like I said, entertaining.
