Money Lessons Your Kids Will Enjoy

Explaining how money works to middle schoolers can feel daunting, yet creative examples and straightforward explanations keep things engaging here. Each topic, from saving pocket change to understanding basic investment terms, is tailored to a level sixth- and seventh-graders can grasp. By presenting financial concepts with simple stories and practical exercises, it encourages kids to apply these lessons in their own lives—like deciding how much to save from an allowance or how to budget for a small goal. The approach never feels dry or dull. Instead, it nurtures healthy attitudes about money, preparing youngsters for bigger financial decisions later on.

Attention to practical, real-world exercises

I think the thing that truly sets this title apart from those like it is the attention to practical real world exercises that listeners can use to practice how they will handle money. Just like riding a bike or learning how to read, getting confident with finances is a real-world skill that sets up the next generation for success in such an important area where so many of us struggle now because we didn’t have excellent titles like this growing up. However, Skilled Fun have taken care of that and made financial know-how not only easy to understand (everything is here from budgeting to investing, to clever decision making), but have actually made it super fun too!

Great Resource

This book should be required for all 4th and 5th graders to listen to. The authors insight and explanations of more complex subjects that relates them to how kids can understand is great. I love the analogy of planting in the garden to saving as just one of the examples in this great book.
