SMOOTHED WHITE NOISE

Relaxing sounds for stress relief, relaxation & sleeping.

WHAT YOU GET

This MIND MAGIXX audiobook contains 12 hours of smoothed white noise to create a relaxing sleep environment. It not only helps with easy sleep by blocking out noise, but also is great for concentration on study or work. Perfect for babies, kids and adults.

WHAT IS WHITE NOISE

White noise plays nearly every audio frequency at once, sounding similar to AM, FM or TV static, to effectively block out any distraction or background noise.

VARIETY OF USES

If you live in a city, for example, white noise could help block out noises associated with traffic. You may need white noise when your screaming kids are keeping you up at night, when the busy click-clack of keyboards at the office is driving you insane. Many individuals use white noise to help their babies sleep, calm nervous pets, or even relieve tinnitus. Yes, you can also minimize the volume of your tinnitus in the auditory system and make the brain block out the disruptive noise. This enables you to ignore the tinnitus, which ceases to be a nuisance or may even disappear altogether.

White Noise has proven particularly effective for hospital patients. These settings tend to be quite loud and filled with ambient noise that can disrupt sleep. Studies suggest white noise can reduce sleep onset for patients, or the time it takes to fall asleep, by nearly 40-60% compared to patients who don't use the white noise soundscapes. It has also proven effective at helping inattentive children concentrate better in their classrooms.

The possibilities are endless!

Don't Try to Sleep With This!

First of all the, the white noise changes about every hour. Not great for sleeping more than an hour but subtly enough I could have gotten use to it. Then at the start of Chapter 6 there are obvious editing glitches that woke me up - loud click, start new sound, loud click, stop new sound, loud beep, re-start new sound - by then I was wide awake and annoyed. Checking ahead I found other chapters (new sounds) beginning with loud clicks. Chapter 11 sounds like being inside a helicopter with almost an alarm clock type of ringing to it. Chapter 12 is a weird mesh of white noise and robotic jarring beeping sounds. It eventually ends with music and a fond farewell from the narrator. I'm returning this sad excuse for a sleep aid!
