About this listen

Certainly not your run of the mill zombie tale

Nobody wants to be a zombie.
It's not like it's on anybody's bucket list.

But, when the zombie apocalypse comes along, being a zombie just happens to some people.

The important thing for a zombie to do is to figure out what exactly is going on and how he's supposed to act.

If he can find something to write with, he can organize his thoughts, try to make sense of what's happened to him, maybe he won't lose his mind..

Some of us are Dead is the unpublished blog of a zombie who doesn't remember his own name anymore. There are a lot of things Brian doesn't remember anymore, but he does remember a little bit.

He remembers how to use a laptop, how to write things down, how to tell what's been going on in the world.

Not only that, but there's a whole lot more going on beyond the mayhem and the madness, even though madness is never that far from his mind.

When he finds out what's going on, "the way things are," as he puts it; he decides to do something about it.

That may be the biggest mistake of his life...or after-life.

Some of Us are Dead unlike most zombie tales, is set in a different world, a world where civilization isn't dead or destroyed, just disturbed...and with zombies.

In Some of Us are Dead, society has been restructured to accommodate infestations. It persists. But maybe it shouldn't keep on. Maybe it needed to die a horrible death when zombies spawned. Still, people keep going on with their lives, a trifle more cautiously, of course.

And the zombies? Well, they try to cope.

"I'm a huge fan of "The Walking Dead," but I found this perspective to be refreshing. I never thought of seeing a post-apocalyptic world through the eyes of the zombies themselves." --- ML

"I saw this book on my friend's Kindle, so I read it. I liked it, in fact. It ended up getting me through a difficult time in my life." --- MY

"I thoroughly enjoyed this quirky little book. I'm familiar with all the zombie apocalypse tropes, but I've never encountered a book like this one. It's starts out one way, morphs into a kind of spy novel, and ends up having you ponder the meaning of life." --- RJS
