Sofia Axelrod este doctor cercetător al somnului în laboratorul lui Michael W. Young, câștigător al Premiului Nobel pentru Fiziologie sau Medicină în 2017. Atunci când a rămas însărcinată cu primul ei copil, având un istoric de insomnie, dr. Axelrod s-a temut că nu va mai dormi vreodată. După nașterea primului său copil, a aplicat în mod natural cunoștințele aprofundate despre somn pe care le avea pentru a-și ajuta bebelușul să doarmă.
