About this listen

This book has been written to explore the relationship that exists between Jesus and his body the church; as expressed in Song of Songs, between the Shepherd-King and the Shulamite maiden. In chapter one of this book we will start by identifying the main characters in Song of Songs, before considering the need for Christ's body, the church, to draw closer to God; particularly in these last days of time. Chapter two will evaluate the self-sacrificing love that God wants to develop within his church, in like fashion to the self-sacrificing love that Jesus displayed on the Cross when he died to take away our sins. In chapter three we will analyse the fact that one day Jesus will return for his church, who will be prepared and made ready for that great and glorious day. Until then, we will need to walk by faith and not on our feelings. We will also consider how God uses the gospel as the vehicle to bring salvation to a lost and dying world. In Chapter Four, we will discuss how Jesus will continue to encourage his church until the day he returns and takes her into heaven to become his wife. This encouragement will be accomplish through the various gifts, ministries and talents God has placed in his body, as he teaches its members to lay a firm foundation on Jesus Christ. Chapter Five of this book will consider the need for God's end-time church to turn back from her backsliding, in pretty much the same way that Christ encouraged the Laodicean church to turn back to him in Revelation Chapter 3. That is, Jesus is always knocking on the door of our hearts and encouraging individual backsliders to let him back in (Revelation 3:20). In Chapter Six we will investigate the last days and whether or not individual members of Christ's church have oil in their lamps in preparation for his return. Specifically, we will consider the need to become more like Jesus and shine our lights in a world that is becoming incredibly dark, as this dispensation of time draws to a close. In the penultimate chapter of this book we will talk about the need for a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit, especially if we want to witness more souls turning to Christ. Here we will discuss the importance of following our calling, rather than allowing the opinion of other people to stand between us and the purpose of God for our lives. Finally, in the last chapter of this book, we will discuss that time may be running out for the church down here on earth. With this in mind, we will consider a number of pertinent topics, such as: the need for inner healing within the body of Christ; God's favour on our lives; how God has sealed us with the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of eternal life; living a balanced life; growing in confidence; and that Jesus is preparing to return for a spotless bride. It is my prayer that this book will help you gain fresh revelations concerning Christ's dealings with his body the church. May God Bless You In Jesus Name, Amen!
