About this listen
War has ravaged the Protective Federation for decades. Millions have died. Millions more live in fear. The time to strike back at the enemy is near. But when Chief Admiral Fedrin is wrongfully accused of destroying dozens of their own warships and defecting, the fate of the Federation is anything but certain. Fedrin is forced to flee his home world with a handful of ships and loyal crews in search of answers and revenge. His journey is fraught with perils and Fedrin soon realizes that he is the key to unlocking a great secret--a secret which never should have been forgotten.

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter? I love sci-fi and this one was no different. World building is always the bane of sci-fi and the author does so in a unique way that doesn't feel like you're being forced to read a textbook on the world, races, planets, transport, etc...

Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this? The strong themes throughout the book manifest in every character's story arc in a different way.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance? The pacing was a little slow at times, but otherwise it was great. Excellent voices that really nail the characters in my opinion.

Do you have any additional comments? Next book?? I thought that the ending was a bit of a cliffhanger personally. Great work...

Most of the space battles were pretty one sided, not in the way you'd expect. And as with a lot of TV style Sci-Fi, "don't ask, don't tell" when it comes to the science. Don't expect Larry Niven or Asimov. But, like all my favorite TV and movie Sci-Fi, it's a guilty pleasure and it's not trying to pass itself off as hard SF, at least I hope it isn't. Otherwise, I'd remove a couple stars. LOL
Narration was good. A bunch of different character voices, which I like. I will listen to the sequel when it comes out. It sounds Like Tarken is going to kick some alien as$ or punch it 6 times.
Star Trek meets Star Trek and a little Lost Fleet

I really hate books that push a fundamentalist religious agenda. Are you guys sure this wasn't written by Alex Jones?Creationist SciFi? Should be listed under fantasy
