When the owner of a mansion in the Colorado mountains hires Anna Denning to research his family tree, it's Anna's dream come true. A library brimming with old documents, an undiscovered family history - what more could a genealogist want?
Excited by the possibilities and fueled by a new love in her life, Anna, tenacious as ever, is undeterred by rumors that a ghost haunts the mansion. Until she uncovers records that suggest those rumors are more than idle talk.

Becky Doughty did a marvelous job with the narration, making for an enjoyable listening experience. I received an audible copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Good Mystery

Karin is a clear, concise writer, and Sparrow house has a twisty plot and a fabulous setting. Heroine Anna is smart and tenacious, and she's not easily intimidated. I spent about half of my time cheering her on and the other half wishing she'd take her dog and go home, and lock all the doors for a couple years! This mystery has cozy elements (love the Colorado mountain town where it takes place) but it's packed with tension. I'd classify it as a mostly clean read, with several events that might be disturbing to some readers.
The narrator, Becky Doughty, has the kind of voice that "disappears" when you listen to her. Neither bland nor overly dramatic, she's clear and smooth. I love it when the narrator doesn't get between me and the story, and she is one of the best.
Good & Creepy Mystery

The writing is good, but the plot is so non-existent that you don't really care what happens to whom.
Those are hours of my life I will never get back..,...
