About this listen
Speaking Sex to Power charts Patrick Califia-Rice's provocative views, which often conflict with not only mainstream society but also much of the lesbian, gay, and feminist movements. Along with essays on antiporn feminism, the Bush cabinet, and repression of S/M, Califia-Rice writes of his decision to undergo a sex change.

Stumbled across this as one of the only non-fiction pieces that came up as free with the new Audible Romance Package (I'm not normally a fiction reader) and decided to try it out. Not only am I enjoying this piece, I find myself really inspired by the chapters.
Already went to purchase another book by this author (via Scribd book subscription) "Public Sex" and looks like I had previously started reading another book by Califia-Rice in the past, "Sex Changes: Transgender Politics," but it was removed from Scribd before I could finish.
This audiobook is fantastic in content and well-read by narrator. The narrator's tonal range and accent on certain words made the articles sound like speeches, and added the right amount of power behind those words.
Hoping to see more by Califia-Rice via Scribd, Kindle Unlimited, Audible, etc.
What a powerful voice.
What about Marc Bachmann’s performance did you like?
