About this listen
In a desperate move, Brigid defeated the witches, but now she is stuck in Faerie with zero ideas, or the power, to get back home. At least her cat and her bestie are with her.
But they're not the only ones she accidentally transported. The coven's head witch, Sofia, has also disappeared into the Fae realm. If Brigid had any luck, a wild Fae creature would eat Sofia, but Brigid's luck ran out years ago.
Lost in a foreign realm, Brigid has to navigate the Fae court without insulting anyone or inadvertently causing a civil war. She's going to need her great-grandfather's help to get her out of this pickle, but her arrival has also placed him in jeopardy...
Now it's a deadly race. Who will get back to Earth first and keep Brigid's power forever?

Brigid Donovan is down on her luck. Her husband dumped her for the biggest stereotype around, his secretary, and her family mansion is a decaying wreck. All she wants is to get it restored, enjoy the peace and quiet of living in eight hundred acres of primordial forest, and rebuild her life. Fate seems to be against her. First, her cat starts to speak to her. And what does he say? He's not what he seems to be—seriously? Like a talking cat is normal.

Story
Someone paid the vampire king’s creepy son to turn me into one of the bitey undead. I’m not hanging about to find out who or why. The vampires want me to stay with them for one hundred years of indentured servitude but I have this thing about following orders so I ran from the streets of London to the wilds of Alaska. I have an eidetic memory and a can-do attitude. I can-do anything to get away from the vampire king. So when the Sheriff of Portlock, a hidden paranormal town, invites me to be his assistant, I say sure thing. It beats servitude hands down.

Daisy Carter knows she's not anyone special. She might be brave and resourceful. She might possess a touch more magic than your average low elf. But, when it comes down to it, she's just another delivery driver trying to make a living. Admittedly, life would be easier without her addiction to a dangerous drug called spider's silk—but she's got her reasons for that. Nobody's perfect. However, Daisy's world changes when she crosses paths with Hugo Pemberville, the celebrated high elf who's well known for being an accomplished treasure hunter.

Story
My life was going just fine by most standards. I ran a successful business in a tight-knit magical community, and lived just blocks from a beautiful lake and series of hiking trails. Then Selene showed up. According to some magical code I inherit my aunt's ancient familiar; a grumpy ten-pound cat with a broken filter. She fancies herself something of a saber-toothed tiger, and claims to have wrestled the thread of her ninth life from the hands of the Fates themselves—although, I'm pretty sure that last part isn't true. Almost positive.

Mackenzie works for Catch and Release, a bounty-hunting guild, and she loves her job. She goes after the usual suspects: Rogue vampires, feral shifters, and crazed mages. Nightmare stuff. The last thing she ever imagined was Lucan, an infuriating and high-ranking dragon shifter, hiring her to find a child kidnapped from his Tribe. Even though her magical talents lean more towards bodyguarding and hunting dangerous beings, condemning a kid to death isn't who she is. But as Mackenzie gets deeper into her hunt, she uncovers deadly secrets surrounding the child, the kidnapper, and Lucan himself...

I’m Jinx. As a private investigator, being a walking, talking lie detector is a useful skill—but let’s face it, it’s not normal. You’d think it would make my job way too easy, but even with my weird skills, I still haven’t been able to track down my parent’s killers. When I’m hired to find a missing university student, I hope to find her propped up at a bar—yet my gut tells me there’s more to this case than a party girl gone wild.

My father talked about Atlantic City the way some women talk about their ex-boyfriends. No good. Avoid at all costs. Soul-sucking even without the demons. Never mind that we lived across the country where, by day we worked as mountain guides, and at night he trained me to use my magic—not that I was allowed to showcase it. That was a hard no. So I hid my powers the way he hid his bourbon—until his murder.

It's one thing to wake up outside in the middle of the night with a decapitated man for company. It's another to have no memory of how you got there—or who you are. She might not know her own name but she knows that several people are out to get her. It could be because she has strange magical powers seemingly at her fingertips and is some kind of fabulous hero. But then why does she appear to inspire fear in so many? And who on earth is the sexy, green-eyed barman who apparently despises her? So many questions . . . and so few answers.

absolutely love!!!
These audiobooks are fantastic!! I don't usually gravitate towards books with cats or really any other animals on the cover. But I will totally make an exception for this series. Mr. Mittens defiantly deserves a spot on the cover. The narrator did a brilliant job as well. The only thing I am upset about is that books 4,5, and 6 aren't an audible yet.

Fantastic Conclusion!
This is the third and last installment in the Splintered Magic Series, a Paranormal Women's Urban Fantasy Fiction Novel. The story continues where the second book left off. I loved to follow Brigid, Gabe, Megan, and Mr. Mittens in this fantastic conclusion to the series. The storyline is filled with action, danger, and twists and turns. I enjoyed it. Veronica Giguere did a great job bringing this story to life. #PFPAudio

I love this fun, exciting PWF series!
This is the best paranormal women’s fiction series that I’ve ever read, and it’s perfectly narrated in every way. The narrator Veronica Giguere is so amazing at male voices that I could have sworn it was a duet narration. Ms. Giguere has such a pleasing alto voice and excellence in all kinds of scenes. She has very good comic timing and great accents for different characters.
This third book in the series continues the fun, tense fantasy storyline and does not have a cliffhanger. A bunch of plotlines were wrapped up wonderfully, but there are still a lot of great possibilities for Brigid, Megan, and the marvelous Mr. Mittens. I can't wait for Book 4! So far the steam level is mild with just kissing. The setting in the realm of Faerie is really cool with great world-building. I love the magic, the action, and the intriguing minor characters. I totally recommend this book to all fans of paranormal women’s fiction, paranormal cozy mysteries, and urban fantasy.
I requested and received a free audio copy via the publisher, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review. #TheFlockVIPReviewTeam #NorthernLakeAudio

More Mr. Mittens
Brigid accidentally realm-walked to faerie during the battle with the witches, taking Mr. Mittens, Megan, and Sofia with her. Sofia runs off and the others don't exactly receive a warm welcome as they are marched to the court for an appearance in front of the king. Brigid finds herself in the middle of court intrigue, a political marriage, and jailed for an assassination attempt. While trying not to start a war, she masters her magic, spends time with her grandfather, and worries about her home and Gabe. At least the food is good.
I have mixed feelings about this book. I love faerie and the intrigue. I love that Brigid finally learned to use her magic instead of bumbling around. I liked that Sofia aligned herself with the Swamp Lord. This had to be an embarrassment to her. I didn't like the absence of Mr. Mittens. Yes, he was there but Brigis was separated from him and Megan most of the time, so he played a much smaller role. Since he is my favorite character, this was not good. I did enjoy the resolution of the witch dilemma back home. I enjoyed the battle and Mr. Mitten's post-fight snack. And I loved his reaction to his first Christmas present. Seriously, I would enjoy him taking the lead role and his pet being the side character. I'm interested to see where this series goes next. Since I prefer Brigid's regular life with her friends and the B&B to the witch drama, I am looking forward to it.
Once again Veronica Giguere is exceptional. Her talent and range are impressive. Having said that, I think her weakest character voice is unfortunately Brigid. She comes across as whiny and a Debby Downer too much of the time. Maybe, that's just who she is because she nails everyone else.

So so Awesome!
This is the third in the series and it is just as awesome as the beginning. We are seeing character growth as the story moves along. This one picks up where the last left off. She had arrived in Faerie with Sophia in tow and had lost her magic. We see some old characters and meet a lot of new ones.
I really love this author’s imagination! She is so creative and makes it so enjoyable for the reader. The build of her characters is nicely done and helps them become endearing to me.
I listened to this on audio. Veronica Giguere does an amazing job with all the different characters that pop up. She is very enjoyable to listen to.
