About this listen

"A high action page-turner set in a Maine winter, this Ike Hamill bio-thriller is the perfect Saturday afternoon heart thumper."

Jake stands there, stunned, as Andrew chambers a round. The rifle is pointed right at the running man. Every hunter has a story of an expedition gone wrong. This one is about to take a fatal turn, and there is nothing that Jake can do but watch.

The rifle fires.

From horror author Ike Hamill, Spores takes you on a journey you'll never forget. It's a tale millions of years in the making, and you'll never imagine where it will land.

The four men are out on a simple hunting trip. It’s supposed to be a chance to unwind and get away from all the stress of work and family. But when Andrew looks through the scope and sees what’s running at him, he acts decisively. Back at the cabin, Leonard and Patrice have their own problem. They hear the sound of the snowmobile and rush to the window. They look out in time to see the machine streaking across the lake, and then it’s gone.

When Marie appears, everything somehow gets much worse.

Good story unfortunately the digital narration was too robotic. The story would have been so much better if there was the presence of emotions

great story line though could stand to be defined as some parts are not laid out well

a lot of the plot devices are too far fetched or just plain wrong, the author has no real idea how atomic weapons work. too many movies make people think that you can see an atom bomb explosion from space. hate the AI voice with a passion

I pushed myself through this book

sorry guys... this book just didn't do anything for me... the virtual voices they used were really a BIG distraction. They are completely absent of emotion and the use of verbal punctuation was oftentimes very choppy. The story line was just "ok".

Boring…

The beginning was GREAT. Then it just…died for me. I was waiting for something exciting, but there really wasn’t. Even the ending was disappointing. And the virtual voice, while impressive in nature, did a poor job of reading, often adding a ? to a statement. Odd. Good thing this was a free Audible plus read! I would not waste a credit on this one.
