This course traces bourbon's entire history, from the 1700s, with Irish, Scottish, and French settlers setting up stills and making distilled spirits in the New World, through today's booming resurgence.

We live in a world of seeds. From our morning toast to the cotton in our clothes, they are quite literally the stuff and staff of life, supporting diets, economies, and civilizations around the globe. Just as the search for nutmeg and the humble peppercorn drove the Age of Discovery, so did coffee beans help fuel the Enlightenment and cottonseed help spark the Industrial Revolution. And from the fall of Rome to the Arab Spring, the fate of nations continues to hinge on the seeds of a Middle Eastern grass known as wheat.

Actually Simplifies the Process
I have seen more and more herb guides coming out, but the world of herbs ends up being so vast and in-depth sometimes that the information becomes more overwhelming than useful. This guide actually successfully simplifies things and leaves you feeling much more confident about getting started growing your own herbs, even if you haven't done it before and you are just starting out with your very first plants. It sticks to basics and doesn't try to throw complicated techniques or concepts at you too fast. If you want an overview of the whole process, growing to using, this guide is an excellent place to start.

Green Thumb Achievement Unlocked!
I killed every basil plant I ever bought until I found this audiobook. The step-by-step approach finally made herb gardening click for me! I started with just three herbs (following the beginner advice) and was shocked when they didn't just survive but thrived on my tiny apartment balcony.
The pest management section saved my mint from aphids without nasty chemicals. I've been using the PDF reference guide constantly - especially the harvesting tips that helped me stop over-pruning.
My cooking has improved dramatically with fresh herbs, and I've also started experimenting with their medicinal uses. The narrator sounds genuinely excited about plants, which makes the whole experience enjoyable. If someone as plant-challenged as me can succeed with these methods, anyone can!
