Good Story

love the religious references, however additional research needed on military protocol. If you can get past the military portal mistakes this story is a page turner.

Loved this series up to this book

Really disappointed with this book in the series. I noticed with this series that each of the books is written by a different author. Not familiar with this author, but this book was a sheer irritation to make it through to the end. I'm going to try and make a mental note of this author's name and steer clear of getting any other books by this author.

The characters could be summed up as too stupid to live. I HATE it when an author is unable to find a creative way to write a story where there is a reasonable possibility of a problem happening to a person of normal intelligence. A killer is after the main female character in this series, and thinks nothing of walking to and from home, by herself. Constantly setting up situations that are comparable to waving a red flag at a bull. Had a very difficult time making it to the end of this book. It never did get any better.

irritated

this story makes military police look like buttheads and idiots...preschool teacher...little girl and a beagle solve something these guys didn't because they were busy turning on one of their own...not even listening or looking into the truth..plus put the little girl at risk time and time again....

Disappointed in the lack of research of military prowess and 3 year old verbal skills

Overall, the book is good but unbelievable. It would be an incredible 3 year old to speak like this. She goes back and forth in the manner of a 3 year old and then that of a much older child. It would take pretty poor military professionals to behave in such a manner. Other books from this author have been much better. Didn’t care for the narrator at all. Don’t like giving such a low review as I like this authors work.

Not my favorite

Angie Hickman did a good job of narrating the first three novels, but this one was difficult because she had so much dialogue from a toddler. It was annoying. I think I might have enjoyed reading this book better because listening to a baby talk is tedious.

The author took too long to get to the point. Most of the book consists of the author telling us how the characters FEEL. I found this tedious so I hit the 30 second advance way too much. I did not like that the plot action was still unresolved at 10 minutes to go. The ending was too abrupt for my taste.

I thought the way the investigation progressed was really odd. There is a twist at the end that resolved this, but that is part of the reason why the plot took so long to resolve. Others might like this, but I find the tension right to the end hard for my anxious nature to deal with. I am still going to listen to the other books because I really want to know how the catch the bad guy. I like the the books are clean. I am very picky about books. At least these are clean.
