About this listen

Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about playing the role of Drumknott in Terry Pratchett’s Unseen Academicals is British writer, illustrator and dramatist Stephen Briggs.

The writer and illustrator behind many of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld subsidiary works and merchandise, Stephen Briggs, who also classes himself as a ‘civil servant who dabbles in amateur dramatics’, has provided the voices and narration of Discworld and its characters in more than 20 audiobook recordings both in the UK and in the US. He now voices the character Drumknott in the audio drama version of Terry Pratchett’s Unseen Academicals.

The first person to ever adapt to stage Terry Pratchett’s fantasy Discworld, Stephen Briggs talks to us about his character Drumknott, how he first became involved in Discworld and what it was like to work with Terry Pratchett himself.

wish it was longer

i love Stephen Briggs narrating and this interview was a treat, although it was short it was nice to get to know a little bit more about him and Terry Pratchett and how they began this whole thing, wish it was longer though. Audible, how about a second interview and a longer one please? :)

Come for the Briggs and Pratchett anecdotes

Always a fan of Stephen Briggs, and though short, there is much in this interview about himself and his work with Terry Pratchett.
