About this listen

What do you do when life knocks you down? When you have to get up—day in and day out—and be strong for others while inside you're fighting deep emotional battles? When days, weeks, even months go by, and God still seems silent?

In the wake of her husband's deep betrayal and abandonment, bestselling author Courtney Joseph found herself drowning in fear, shame, and grief—and clinging to a God who seemed to have left, too. Now opening up about this dark season, she shows how to rise up after a heart-crushing struggle, cling to the promises in God's Word, and move forward stronger than before.

Sharing the hard-fought lessons she learned, she helps you hold on to your faith when life wounds you; stand back up—and keep standing—after being knocked down; overcome discouragement and disillusionment; heal your hurts and let go; recover from loss and grief; and find enough strength, joy, rest, and peace for each day.

This dark valley will end. Here is the infusion of hope you need to rise, live well, and walk with the King.

A real picture of Faith during the hardest times in our life!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Finally, there is someone who really understands going through divorce as a Christian woman! Courtney is an incredible woman of faith and a gifted author, I appreciate how real and honest she was about her story and the struggles to keep standing. Even though my divorce was several years ago (nearly the same time as hers), Courtney’s stories put so many of my own personal experiences and emotions into words that I never could. I honestly have felt like I was “the only one“ with these feelings, especially feeling that I didn’t fit in at church anymore. It was so great to hear that another Christian woman understood everything I went through so well, and to read solid Biblical truth to guide you through every step of the way is a blessing.
Courtney, I am thankful God led you to write this book, it is truly a guiding light and a reassurance to help other women through the darkest times of life.
It’s wonderful to hear how God has been with you through the darkness and now you are very obviously shining and blooming again!

Beautiful story of redemption

Courtney did a fantastic job of respectfully telling her story in a way that others could relate to without getting so far into the nitty gritty that it would invade the privacy of her children and her kids’ father. It was relatable, organized, and it’s been so beautiful to watch the renewal of her life after hardship and pain. Beautifully done, Courtney! 🤍
