About this listen

Secrets have a way of giving in to the truth...

Mira once led a wonderful life—a respected professor at the University of Chicago, surrounded by a loving family, outstanding students, caring friends, and a supportive faculty. Her husband owned a technology company that was the envy of the AI world. The world should have been their oyster. Should have been.

Instead, Mira wakes up inside a bunker, bewildered and drugged, with the world above ravaged by an unknown scourge. Day by day, hour by hour, she discovers that the enemy isn't some distant adversary, from a faraway land. It's much closer to home than she could’ve ever imagined.

The truth sometimes is too much to bear.

I’m glad I didn’t have to pay for this. As much as I tried, I couldn’t finish it. The AI voice made it tough to listen to.

Who thought AI was a good idea?

The story was pretty good, I appreciated the characters, but the robot reader distracted me from the story. I feel like nobody listened to the book before it was released, or else they did and just felt like they had to live with it.

AI voice was very distracting

Cliffhanger endings are meant to draw you into the series but I honestly didn’t care about these characters- except for Lucky
