About this listen
I just want to be clear…THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE. Heck, this isn't even a book blurb.
It’s not a rom-com. It’s not a family drama. It's not a cozy mystery. That’s a lot of what it’s not.
So what is Story Magic?
It's about a girl who needs help.
Every now and again I write a book because it nags me. The characters won’t let me not write them. You’d be right to be concerned about someone who has imaginary people nagging them, but I’m a writer so it’s okay. In fact, it’s magic. Story Magic, if you will. I guess if you were going to label this novella it would be magical realism. Now, if you’re not someone who habitually reads magic realism, but you do read Holly Jacobs, you should be okay. And if you’re someone who enjoys magic realism but haven’t read Holly Jacobs (I really think you should) you should be okay.
The truth is, I’m planning to write a full-length novel about Kia, but I wanted to understand her first. This novella is the result of my mulling over her particular form of magic. I’ll confess, I fell in love with her relationship with Alana. While it’s not a romance, it is a love story…the love of two kindred spirits. So here’s their story.
I hope you enjoy it…despite all the things it’s not.
Holly
