About this listen

Hailed as the master of alternate history, New York Times best-selling author Harry Turtledove continues the thrilling series he began with Supervolcano: Eruption. All of North America is covered in ash after the eruption in Yellowstone, and Colin Ferguson’s family is scattered across the United States. With food running low and cities uninhabitable, can they hope to survive long enough for what’s left of civilization to rebuild?

I enjoyed this book much more than the first one, especially after discovering it was part of a sequel. Book one makes far more sense now.

I still dislike Colin's daughter Vanessa. She's wretched! But the other 2 boys may come out okay.

This series stands out among the nearly 300 audiobooks I have enjoyed. The books are well-written, engaging, interesting, and compelling, and the characters have qualities that bind them to you. As the story unfolds you can't help but love most of the characters in a way that you feel yourself, or someone you know, in each of them. The ride that is this story isn't too slow, or too fast but keeps a nice pace with enough unforeseen twists to keep you wanting to listen more. I highly recommend this series and I know I will return in the future to listen again, it was that good.

A wonderful series, you won't be disappointed...

i have read harry turtledove before. his alternate history novels have been entertaining. i assumed this book, "supervolcano: all fall down" would be similar. if not alternative history per se, it would be a look at what would happen if yelllowstone erupted. this was nothing like that.

yes, in the book yellowstone did erupt. a few years before the story starts. but this book is really not about that at all. as a matter of fact this book could have had as its catalyst ANYTHING. a worldwide depression, a world war, global warming/cooling. because this book was about an extended family in los angeles and the lives they lead. that is all. and they werent very interesting lives and not a very interesting family. does audible have a money back guarantee?

NOTHING TO DO WITH A SUPER VOLCANO
