My kind of story

I really enjoyed the trilogy, and I will listen to it again down the road for sure!

Fell flat as a sequel

I had high expectations for this second book because I loved all the twists and turmoil of the first one but.. It fell extremely flat. All dialogue, minimal action and overall very boring. I've never had this issue with his other books and it saddens me to leave this review on such a wonderful author.

Classic Turtledove

It's not his best or his worst but fans and newcomers alike can enjoy it.

Interesting read.

Wasn't what I expected, but interesting. I was expecting excitement, and challenges throughout. What I got was everyday people going through their day to day lives after an apocalyptic event.

Great book

I'm a huge Turtledove fan. He's had his hooks in me since guns of the South. I've yet to be disappointed he gets you really invested in his characters. I can't wait for more in this series.

Wasn't needed

The overall series is great. This last book really wasn't needed. I enjoyed seeing the character Vanessa getting screwed over.

Reality TV on an audio book

What disappointed you about Supervolcano?

No plot, no excitement, depressing, I never write reviews. Avoid this one.

What could Harry Turtledove have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The character are boring. I might has well as been browsing my families face book pages. He's writing for word count at this point. Page after page of look how cute the cat is. Yawn.

What aspect of Jim Frangione’s performance would you have changed?

He did fine. Nothing spectacular.

What character would you cut from Supervolcano?

All of them and start over.

Any additional comments?

Skip this one.

Things did fall apart...

A lot of repetition in the story. It seemed as though the author as using filler to pad the length. Worst book by this author to date I've read. Nothing happened. Many subplots unresolved.

Needed a plot

Worst HT novel ever. No plot no action A book where nothing ever happens and you have absolutely no reason to care about the characters.
