Hot, intense and mysterious tale!

Wow, the saga of six Viking warriors shipwrecked on an island with only women just gets better. This story follows Viking Rangvald and islander Elin. Rangvald is injured and taken care of by healer Elin but the women have a bigger purpose in helping the Vikings. They need the men to give them babies so their society can continue after all their men either perished or left the island. Each book adds to the plot and the mysteries and has a different plot. And the stories are very steamy and primal. You will definitely want to find out what will happen here. Rangvald has a lot of anger and issues with how he and his mother, a slave, were treated in Norway and it spills over in his need to dominate Elin. I love that the women on the island have discovered their strength and independence and will not willingly give it up for the men. The tension heats up as Rangvald confronts his leader and the men come closer to being able to leave the island, if the women help them. Big "if". I cannot wait for book 4 to see what will happen next. The narrator does a good job of creating the ancient atmosphere with his deep voice and different accents.

Hot and wonderfully written!

Wow! This was hot! A dom viking and a submissive woman, but only in the bed chamber... I loved the characters and the writing and the plot is more and more intriguing with each book!

Hot Viking novella

I love this Viking series of novellas and am always so excited when a new one is released. This new one did not disappoint. It's just as hot as the rest and I'm here for it.

Love the narrator's voice. It is perfectly suited for these short stories.

Enjoyed the story and narration.

This was Elin's story. Her charge was Rangvald. She was more honest about the plans for the men. She couldn't take advantage of him though. He fell quickly even though she did leave him alone when she was mad at him. He accepted her for who she was, including her use of tarot cards. I enjoyed their interactions and this story. I wait for the next installment in this series to see how it all works out.

The narration by Gareth J. Davies was, once again, a delight as he brought this island and all its inhabitants to life.

The Perfect Match!

I have now both read the book and listened to the audiobook and yes, it was even better this second time around!
Rangvald and Elin bump heads in this heated fight for control and I loved their single-minded passion.
The story is gripping and the narration so easy to listen to.
My review is given freely and I am eagerly awaiting the next in this amazing series.

I loved this rather spicy novella ♥️🌶️

As in the previous books in the series this is Elin and Rangvald’s account of the story and how it evolves from their perspective.
Badly wounded and unconscious for quite some time (after being found shipwrecked on the beach on the Island of Hoy), Elin the healer is caring for Rangvald.
With plenty of steamy scenes, power play, and clashing of wills this was an extremely enjoyable story.
Rangvald has a very dark side and has the need to be the one always in control even whilst recuperating from his injuries.
This book sees him experience bitterness from his past, much pain from his injuries and regret and horror from what has happened on Hoy.
His anger and possible loss making him reflect on his actions and want to become the person that Elin needs in her life.
Can Elin see past all of this darkness, forgive him and truly let him in?

Another fantastic story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Please note that as this is part of an ongoing series, this story does not come to a conclusion.
You must read through to the final book to find out what happens with all these gorgeous Viking men and the women they come to love.
In saying that, I’m absolutely loving this series and looking forward to being introduced to the other mens stories.
While also needing to find out what happens to the Vikings and their partners that we’ve already met.

I have just finished listening to this audiobook and always enjoy listening to Gareth J Davies.
His voice and the addition of the background noise in places is always a delight to listen to.

Short and steamy

I am enjoying these dark Viking romance novellas written by Felicity Brandon and Anna Quinn. They are short and steamy, while allowing us to get to know the characters a bit. The struggle for control between Rangvald and Elin was more pronounced in this book. I was surprised at how it ended. It ends with more of a cliffhanger than the others did.


Gareth J Davies is an excellent narrator. I love his voice. He voices both the men and women well. Perfect performance.
