About this listen
Award-winning novelist Sharon Hinck - CBA best-selling author of Renovating Becky Miller - populates her humorous faith-based stories with authentic characters who struggle with the ups-and-downs of everyday life.
When Amy Johnson drops out of Juilliard to raise her newborn daughter, she never dreams she'll have a second chance to become a concert flutist. For the last 15 years, teaching has provided for the needs of Amy and her daughter Clara. Then a rare opportunity presents itself, and the talented single mom wins the open flute chair in the Minneapolis Symphony. But when Clara suddenly develops a strong interest in cheerleading and church and mysterious mishaps threaten the orchestra's viability, her dream job and her relationship with her teenage daughter - and the dashing conductor - may be in jeopardy.
