About this listen

Take Me to The Water to Be Baptized Book of Poems metaphorically points to rivers, lakes, waterfronts, and oceanic views in this cycle we call life. This book depicts a cleansing, through a necessary process; a bloodbath (if you will). The poems coupled with symbolic pictorial illustrations tell a story, that takes the reader way out to the deep-end with a Life Preserve Jacket (of course), allowing one to walk on water…but there’s a catch, you have to walk it out by faith, and not by sight, reaching for God in the aftermath, and completing the task, all without looking down. The key is to never take your eyes off of God, and to keep pressing towards higher ground. In the words of the author, “Now walk it out, skip, jog, run, but keep it moving upward bound!” The poems will break you down, renew your strength, and have you soar on wings like the Eagle; and you will “walk it out,” taking baby steps, and not be faint. The soulful poems will nurture you. The poems will quench your thirst, and ultimately, build you ‘RIGHT’ back up to provide ‘sum-of-that’ much needed living water, and assured rest. God affirms, “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water” John 7:37-38 King James Version (KJV). Philosophy Poetry
